RUP solutions specifically designed for tipper body chassis

The rear underrun protection (RUP) has been mandatory since 1 September 2021 for all trucks and semi-trailers (including light-duty vehicles). Its role is essential in reducing the severity of impacts in the event of a collision with another vehicle.

While chassis manufacturers already integrate RUP systems, not all models take into account the specific constraints related to the tipping of a tipper body.

RUP TAURUS

TAURUS is a compact hydraulic lift rear underrun protection device suitable for all coupling types. It offers a wide lifting range and allows space for extended rear lights (side-mounted and retracted). Its design ensures enhanced robustness and optimised weight through the use of ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS).

RUP KAMBA

An extremely adaptable fixed bar, compact and suitable even for short rear overhangs. The depth and height of the RUP can be adjusted according to body installation requirements.

A hydraulic lift rear underrun protection device compatible exclusively with 26 and 32-tonne hydraulic rear doors. Its design ensures robustness while optimising weight.

R&D

Developing new mechanisms and testing lighter, stronger materials are key challenges for our design office and R&D department in developing rear underrun protection. Our RUP systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with all our tipper bodies.

Requirements analysis

Each project undergoes a detailed analysis to assess your requirements and guide you towards the most suitable model (fixed bar, hydraulic lift, etc.).

Manufacturing

We fully control the manufacturing of our RUP systems. Production takes place at our two sites in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Installation & Testing

The rear underrun protection is installed on your tipper body chassis by the FASSI France bodywork centre network, in accordance with our technical recommendations.

Support

The FASSI France bodybuilders remain available for maintenance and periodic inspections of your RUP-equipped tipper truck.
